Robert James Nash

Robert J. Nash, age 88 of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, Tennessee, on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

Mr. Nash was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on March 06, 1937, a son of the late Richard F. and Dorothy (Beer) Nash. Mr. Nash was a hardworking and devoted man who spent much of his career in the United States Air Force. A proud veteran, Bob served honorably for 20 years, and continued his career with Tektronix and Motorola. In his free time, Bob enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, he had a passion for woodworking, enjoyed traveling abroad, and spent endless hours maintaining his yard and landscaping.

Mr. Nash is survived by: his loving wife, Bertha M. (Loepker) Nash, his children Alan R. Nash and wife Laura of Oneida, Tennessee, Richard F. Nash II and wife Karie of Elgin, Illinois, Diane M. (Nash) Slaven and husband Jerry of Oneida, Tennessee and Robert J. Nash and wife Melinda of Peachtree City, Georgia; his grandchildren Justin R. Nash and wife Erin, Adam C. Eckstein and wife Kelly, Andrew R. Hoscheit and wife Diane, Courtney M. (Nash) Larson and husband Scott, Keaton R. Nash and wife Caroline, Colleen M. Nash, Connor M. Nash; his great grandchildren, Samuel J. Eckstein, Addison M. Nash, Savannah L. Nash, Christopher R. Eckstein and Wyatt R. Nash.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, George S. Nash and his son Bryan K. Nash.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Jones and Son Funeral Home, Oneida, TN 37841.  

Internment will be held at East TN State Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville, TN on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
