Robert, fondly known as ‘Rob’ was a simple man. He loved simple things in life like sitting on his porch enjoying a cup of coffee and putting in a day’s work on the farm. To say he was the best is an understatement. Best Dad. Best Papaw. Best Husband. Most of all, Rob served God faithfully with unwavering faith until the end. God chose him for this battle, and he fought the good fight and finished his race. Rob, you will be missed tremendously.
Rob was preceded in death by his father: David Lowe, Sr.; mother-in-law: Christine Walker; father-in-law: Sherman Walker, Jr.; grandmother: Louise McWhorter; and precious baby granddaughter: Mary Jane Pierce.
Rob is survived by his wife, high school sweetheart, and love of his life of 43 years: Velma Lowe; son: Blake Lowe; daughter: Kate Lowe-Pierce and husband Chris Pierce; grandson and best buddy: Walker Pierce; and granddaughter: Willa Pierce; mother: Flora Ann Lowe; brothers: David Lowe (Leisha), Ricky Lowe, Danny Lowe (Susan); sisters: Sherry Keeton (Woody), and Mona Lisa Lowe. In addition, his sister-in-law: Ranae Gibson (Jerry); brothers-in-law: Joe Walker (Jill), Wade Walker (Ruthie), and David Walker (Felicia). Rob leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom he loved dearly.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Newport Cemetery in the Low Gap Community of Helenwood, TN. Officiating the service will be his friend and brother-in-law: Joe Walker. Music will be provided by: Chris Pierce.
Pallbearers are his brothers: David Lowe, Ricky Lowe and Danny Lowe; brothers-in-law: Wade Walker and David Walker; close friend: Wayne Todd; great nephew: Ethan Lowe; and son-in-law: Chris Pierce. Honorary Pallbearers are brother-in-law: Jerry Gibson, and friend: Jerry Foster.
