Ronnie James Moffitt

Ronnie James Moffitt, age 64, of Huntsville departed this life on Wednesday, August 28th, 2024. He was born on June 11th, 1960 in Sunbright, TN to the late George Ralph Moffitt and Gwendolyn Dyer Moffitt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Melinda Faye Whitaker Moffitt, brother Ralph David Moffitt, and sister in law, Sharon Kay Moffitt.

He is survived by his daughters, Kesha Crabtree (Steven), Natasha Cross (Shawn), Felicia Bowling (Derek) and Carina Cardwell he always claimed as his own; brothers, Donald Moffitt (Connie) and Ricky Moffitt (Sandra); sisters, Diane Hawkins and Penny Georgia Smith; grandchildren, Jamie, Mason, Colton, Harlee, and Tylan Greaves, Simon and Everet Bowling, and Logan and Sophia Crabtree; and several nieces, nephews, special friends, family, and neighbors.

Ronnie's passions in life were hunting, fishing, telling stories and jokes to make people laugh, and flirting with his hospital nurses every chance he had. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends may visit with the Moffitt family on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Duvall officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Moffitt-Smithers Cemetery in Robbins.
