Roy D. (Bud) Queener age 80, of the Ditney Trail Community, passed away on September 26, 2022, at his home after a brief illness. He was born May 5, 1942, in English, West Virginia. Bud served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Master Electrician who worked for the TVA before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Queener and Alene Crabtree Queener; brother, Gordy and sisters, Sandra '(Jan)' Garrison and Ann Corn.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva (Genny) Queener of the Ditney Trail Community; sisters, Dotty Marcum of Oneida, Linda Goins of Clinton, and Karen Queener of Knoxville; sons, Jerry and wife Kathy Queener of Stockdale, TX, Tony and wife Karen Queener and Doug and wife Elaine Queener of the Ditney Trail Community; grandchildren, Nicki, Anthony, Philip and wife Margaret, Shelli, Natalie and husband Caleb, Reece and wife Caitlin, Elijah, and Macy; great grandchildren, Lauryn and husband Wesley, Chloe, Christopher and Parker and great-great grandson, Jack Wesley; very special friend and caregiver, Faye Jeffers and many other family members and friends.
Friends may visit with the Queener family on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Griffith and Bro. Dewayne Lawson officiating.
Committal service will follow in the Riverview Cemetery in the Smoky Junction Community. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
