Russell Honeycutt, age 62 of Oneida, TN passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, TN. Born in Scott County, TN on April 4, 1962, he was the son of the late James and Opal Jeffers Honeycutt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepson, Dustin Slaven.
Russell is survived by his wife, Durita Slaven Honeycutt; son, Scott Meadors; daughter, Amy Lay; grandchildren, Bryson Meadors, Kiya Park, Allen Lay, Aaron Lay, Savanah Slaven; brothers, Darrell and Norman Honeycutt; brother-in-law, Billy Bowling; many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Honeycutt family on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Byrge officiating. Music will be provided by the Black Creek Crossroads singers.
Committal service will follow in the Ellis Cemetery in the Buffalo community. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
