Ruth Jeffers Lawson

Ruth Jeffers Lawson, age 67 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.  Born June 16, 1953 in Scott County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Feasure and Rosie Phillips Jeffers.  Ruth was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Charles Lawson; sisters:  Ruby Jeffers Goins and Sandra Jean Jeffers Moore; brothers:  Ray Jeffers and Virgil Jeffers.

Ruth is survived by her children:  Randy Lee Lawson and fiancée Pam Sullivan; and Carla Sue Lawson Jones and husband Wade Jones; 5 grandchildren:  Keela Jeffers, Zayden Jeffers, Andrew Lawson, Kaylee Lawson Floyd and Sean Lawson; siblings:  Betty Jeffers Sexton, Cotton Jeffers, Johnny Jeffers and Estill Jeffers; special friends:  Hazel Stephens and Jean Bowling; as well as other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Lawson family on Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Jenkins officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Sexton Memorial Cemetery in Oneida, TN.  Pallbearers will be:  Wade Jones, Tim Jeffers, Johnny Jeffers, Jamie Jeffers, Zayden Jeffers, Randy Lawson, and Shane Dorris.

With the Health Guidelines in place at this time, we ask that you be mindful of the social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control.  Masks are required.
