Samuel Boyd Storey, age 80, of Robbins, TN, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at his home. Born on July 6, 1944, he was the son of the late Ples B. and Arizona (Ellis) Storey. He was a retired United States Army veteran. He served in the 75th Ranger Regiment Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol. He was also a Mason and a member of the Eastern Star. He was known for his love of horses and agriculture and was a familiar face to everyone. He never passed an opportunity to share his testimony and faith for the Lord. He is a member of Black Creek Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents; sisters; Glois Storey, Delma (Charles) Jones, and Martha (Fred) Phillips. Brothers; Joe C. Storey, Archie Storey, Floyd (Emma) Storey, and Ples (Wanda) Storey. Brother-in- law; Coy Kidd.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Donna Sims-Storey. Daughters; Samantha (Eric) Beals, Sabrina (Shon) Terry and Rachel Storey and fiancé Andres Perez. Grandchildren; Savannah (KC) Shultz, Sydney Terry and fiancé Andrew Lawson, Airman 1st Class Samuel Terry, Erica Beals, Ava Rose, Camila Perez and Sofia Perez. Great grandchildren; Nellie Shultz and soon to be great grandson. Also survived by his sister Pearl Kidd and sister in law Rita Storey. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jeff and Sarah Anderson, nurses and staff at Maxim Healthcare, and nurses and staff at Quality Home Health and Quality Hospice. Thank you to all who visited, brought food, called and especially every prayer said for us.
Friends may visit with the Storey family on Monday, May 26, 2025, from 6:00 pm until time of the Masonic service at 8:00 pm in the Chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Black Creek Cross Roads Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Byrge and Bro. Eli Crowley officiating. Music will be presented by the Black Creek Cross Roads Baptist Church Choir and Pam Bowling.
Committal Service will follow in the Black Creek Cross Roads Cemetery with full Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post #136 of Oneida. Pallbearers will be Kodi Stephens, Gary Queen, Phillip Laxton, Jeff Anderson, Andrew Lawson and Airman 1st Class Samuel Terry.
