Sandra Lynn (Vanover) Nelson

Sandra L. Nelson, age 67, of the Sandcut Community of Oneida, TN, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024, at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida.  Born September 14, 1956, in Hamilton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Arthur (Bo) and Billie Jane Walker Vanover.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Nelson; brother, Boyd Junior Vanover; grandmother Helen Sapp; and nephew Zachary Vanover.

She is survived by her sisters, Linda Kidd and Paula Vanover; nephews Bo Kidd and wife Cari, and Brian and Jennifer Vanover; nieces Billie Jean Cox and fiancé Jesse Fleckenstein, and Corinda and Jonathan Toy; special friend Carolyn Jeffers; several great-nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, September 4th in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home in Oneida. Funeral services will immediately follow with Brother John Vernon Thompson officiating with speaker Kevin Chambers. Music will be provided by Cari Kidd and John Vernon Thompson.

A private committal service will be announced at a later date.
