Sheila Ann (Tompkins) Shannon

Sheila Ann Tompkins Shannon, age 67 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida.  Born February 9, 1957, in Scott County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Chester and June Shelley Tompkins.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Maurice Shannon.

Sheila is survived by her sons:  Joseph, Adam and partner Russell, and Jamey Roysdon; sisters:  Susan Pope and husband Gene, and Tammy Claiborne and husband Glen; brother:  Gary Tompkins and wife Donna; nephew:  Michael Foster and wife Joann; grandchildren:  Sarah, Desirae and wife Breann, Baleigh, Jessica, and Brooklyn, Brittany; as well as many other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Shannon family on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Norman Burk officiating.  

Committal service will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in the Burrville Community of Morgan County.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.
