Shelia Strunk

Shelia Ann Strunk age 67, departed this earth in the early morning hours, on October 5, 2023, at her home with her family at her side. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, and friend. 

Shelia was born in Campbell County on November 10, 1955, to the late Arlis and Helen Chapman.

Shelia grew up in Campbell County, but later resided in Scott County after she married Michael Strunk, the love of her life of 43 years.

Shelia loved to cook and work in the garden. She was loving and dedicated to her family, and she treasured her time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild, and embraced every moment with them. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Gail and husband Mike Pistello, grandparents Ollie and Blaine Chapman, John and Alma Henegar and father-in law Crawford Strunk. 

She is survived by her husband Michael Strunk, her children; daughter Tasha Strunk and fiancé Jordan Skeen, son Eric and wife Bobbi Strunk, daughter Veronica and husband Billy Byrge, grandchildren; Jaegar Strunk, Emma and Noah Strunk, Easton Babb, Benton and Lilly Byrge, great grandchild; Gabriel Strunk, sisters; Karen and husband David Miller, Melinda and husband Sam Richardson, mother-in-law Virgie Strunk, sister-in-law, Loretta and husband Michael Byrd, brother-in-law Bill and wife Vella Strunk, Austin Strunk, Lester and wife Jodi Strunk and many other family and friends.

Special thanks to Quality Hospice and especially Pam Byrge.   

Her request was cremation. A service to honor her will be announced at a later date.
