Sherrie Overton

Sherrie Gayle Overton, age 62 of Helenwood, TN passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023, at her home. Born in Muncie, Indiana on November 8, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Roy Lee and Nancy Goodman Epperson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Dewayne Epperson and an infant brother, Roger Dale Epperson.

Sherrie is survived by her husband, Barney Byrge; four children, Jennifer Blevins, Derrick Overton, Steven Overton and girlfriend Rebekah King, and Roger Freeman; one sister, Debra Lacy; grandchildren, Stephanie Litton, Dustin Blevins, Beronica Blevins, Madison Blevins, Ciara Overton, Landon Overton, Xavier Overton, Isaiah Overton, Austin Freeman, and Aleiah Freeman; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Waylon, Emma, Braylee, Zander Jace, and Oakland; special friends, Debbie Bowling and Delorice Overton; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Overton family on Sunday, December 17, from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Dilbert Terry officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery in Robbins.
