Sheryl Davis

Sheryl Jean (Duncan) Davis, age 78 of Helenwood, TN passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Jellico, TN on September 18, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Orangie Mae (Yancey) Duncan. She worked in the Scott County School system for 42 years and was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and grandma.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Sue Duncan; father and mother-in-law, Dan and Barshie Davis; and great-great niece, Wrenley Carson.

Sheryl is survived by her husband, Dan W. Davis; daughter, Melani Peterson (Todd); brother, Arnold H. Duncan Jr. (Sandy); sisters, Toni Marlow (Cecil), Mary Byrd (Ray), Loretta Sexton; grandchildren, Adam Davis (Taylor) and Gracie Brawner; nieces and nephews, Dacy Williams, William Duncan (Amanda), Mindy Lloyd (Johnny), Kaitlyn Byrd (Connor), Gage Williams, Jolie Duncan, Shaylynn Carson (Brandon), Jacy Williams, Kimberly Hill, Kevin Marlow (Charlotte), Chris Byrd (Kelly), Josh Byrd (Jasmine), and Derick Byrd (Rainah); and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Davis family on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 5 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Carlie Duncan officiating. Music will be provided by Robin Sexton.

Committal service will be on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 10 a.m. in the Duncan Family Cemetery in Helenwood. Pallbearers will be: Johnny Lloyd, Adam Davis, William Duncan, Connor Byrd, Daniel Norman, and Derick Byrd. Honorary pallbearers will be: Robert Williams, Brandon Carson, Gage Williams, Josh Byrd, Chris Byrd, and Kevin Marlow.
