Stephen Allen Childers

Stephen Allen Childers, age 56, of Winfield TN passed away on October 21, 2022, at UT Medical Center as a result of injuries suffered in a car accident. Steve was a Christian and was loved by everyone that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Childers, grandmother, Frances Newport, grandfather, Audney Newport, grandparents, Millard and Martha Childers, nephew, Justin Hill, niece, Hannah Hill, and brother-in-law, Elza Hill.

Steve is survived by his fiancé and loving companion, Sylvia Harder; parents, Louie and Barbara Childers of Harrogate, TN: sisters: Kimberly Hill of Akron, OH, Angela (Darryl) Overton and Louisa (Jim) Beeler of Speedwell, TN; nephews, Eric (Carla) Overton and Ryan (Ashley) Overton, and nieces, Candace (Lucas) Crawford and Morgan (Eric) Clanton, all of Speedwell, TN; great nieces and nephews: Kate, Dreylynn, Ella, Annie, Andrew, and Archie; step children: Anna Ross, Virginia Stewart, Jennifer Freeman, and Thomas Trammel; step grand and great grandchildren: Sean, Dakota, Amber, Megan, Dylan, Zach, Destiny, Maddox, and Korbyn; along with a host of family and friends that loved him dearly.

Friends may visit with the Childers family on Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral home with Bro. Eric Overton officiating. Music will be provided by Ashley Overton. 

Committal service will follow in New Light Cemetery in Winfield, TN.  Pallbearers will be: Ryan Overton, Lucas Crawford, Eric Clanton, Tristan Adkins, DJ Chitwood, Steve Duncan, Harrison Childers and Christian Childers.
