Sylvia Terry

Sylvia Mae Terry, age 99 of Somerset, KY, formerly of Scott County, TN, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at her home. She was born in Scott County, TN on May 28, 1924.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Floyd Terry; daughters, Wanda June Smith and husband Avery Smith and Sharon Lou McGuire and husband Gary McGuire; sons, Floyd Bethal Terry and Chuck Terry; granddaughter, Rhonda Paulsen; great grandson Dylan Paulsen; and grandson’s spouse, Kimberly Smith.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Sizemore; grandchildren, Paula (Ronnie) Glover, Avery Lee Smith, Leslie (Jeri) Smith, Jerry Ann McGuire, Wendy (Jason) Chambers, Chuckie Terry, Amanda Terry, Larry Sizemore, Christy Sizemore, and Sarah Sizemore; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Terry family on Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Shawn West and Bro. David Barnhouse officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Daniel Memorial Cemetery in Helenwood. Pallbearers will be: Larry Sizemore, Leslie Smith, Avery Lee Smith, Jason Chambers, Kody Chambers, and Kaleb Chambers.
