Sylvia Joyce Brown

Sylvia Joyce Brown, age 83 of Oneida, TN passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025, at her home with her family present. Born in Knox County, TN on February 15, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Alvia Lee Spence Sr. and Willie Mae Spence.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Herbert Raymond Brown; daughter, Catherine Renee Garrett and husband Denny Wayne Garrett; granddaughter, Tabitha Renee Mae Harness and husband Joe Harness; grandson, Bradley Wayne Morgan; two great grandchildren, Dallas Edward Morgan and Roseya Grace Harness; brother, Lee Spence and wife Carol Spence and family and brother, David Spence and family; sister, Karen Davis and family; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Brown family on Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, 232 Nashville Avenue, Deer Lodge, TN with Bro. Lee Spence officiating.
