Theresa (Bertram) Hicks

Theresa Bertram Hicks, age 81 of Oneida, TN, wife of Gale Dean Hicks, passed away on Tuesday, May 23 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Along with her loving husband of 63 and a half years, she leaves behind six children, son Trebby Hicks and wife Beverly, of Oneida, TN, daughter Becki Hicks Harper and husband Rick, of Oneida, TN, daughter Cindi Hicks Simmons and husband Bill, of Greenville, SC, daughter Angie Hicks Olmstead and husband Steve, of Oneida, TN, son Rodney Hicks of Oneida, TN and daughter Christy Hicks Phillips and husband Shane, of Oneida, TN, and eighteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Perna Bertram of Monticello, KY; infant brother Avius Bertram, brother Bruce Bertram and sister Christine Jenkins, both of Monticello, KY.

Wife of 63 years, a parent for 61 years, a grandparent for decades, with so many grandchildren and great grandchildren to dote on, her life was filled with those who loved and adored her in ways that words cannot articulate. She was a giver, a nurturer, the kindest human soul. She always saw the best in everyone and lived her life as a beautiful example of how to treat others. She will be sorely missed. She fought the good fight and finished her race, and now rests in the arms of Jesus, the One for whom she lived her life.

Funeral services for Theresa Hicks will be held Thursday, May 25th in a private family graveside service at New Haven Baptist Church Cemetery.
