Virginia “Ginnie” Lawson Adkins, age 71 of Winona, TN passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021, at the LaFollette Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born on January 23, 1950, to Edith and the late Onvie Lawson. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Ginnie was an avid UT Vols fan.
She was preceded in death by her father, Onvie Lawson; sister, Brenda Sue Massengale; infant son, Onvie Lee Harness; sisters-in law, Florence Woodward, Bertie Mae Phillips, Barbara Jean Jones, Iva Lee Fraley, Joan Ealy; brothers-in-law, Glad, Dennis, and Dwain (Todd) Adkins; nephews, Brandon West and Travis Kasmiersky; and niece, Keisha West.
Virginia is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Phillip Adkins; children, Keith Harness, Shanda (Roger) Davis, Robbie (Christy) Harness; her mother, Edith Lawson; sister, Tena (Mark) West; brother, Hildred (Linda) Lawson; sister-in-law, Wilma Martin; brother-in-law, Paul David Adkins; grandchildren, Amy (Jake) Wright, Kaylee (Colby) Lay, Sabrina Davis, Roger Davis, Jr., Dakota Davis, Estrella, Hayden and Jarrett Harness; extended family children, Joe (Rena) Adkins, John (Rhonda) Adkins, Jeremy (Connie) Adkins; grandchildren, Joshua (Mackenzie) Adkins, Jared Adkins, Jonathan (Ansley) Adkins, Hayley (Blake) Adkins, Jeremiah (Shyann) Adkins; 16 great grandchildren; a special niece, Darlene Lay; many other relatives and friends.
A private family service will be held.
After the service, Ginnie’s request was cremation.
