Wanda Leen “Nundy” Bowling, age 85 of Helenwood, TN went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, peacefully at her home. Born in Oneida, TN on July 3, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Odas and Pearl Phillips. She attended church at Little Charity Ministries.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Kim Bowling; sisters, Lorene (James Robert) Foster, Mary (Dewey) Ellis, Lydia (Leonard) Overton, Diana Norris; brother, Charles Phillips; sisters-in-law, Flony (Tom) York, Elizabeth (Eddie) Lloyd, Wilma (Russel) Bee; brothers-in-law, Lloyd “Lit” Ray Bowling, Ross Bowling, and Ralph Bowling.
Wanda is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Floyd “Big” Bowling; stepson, Scott Bowling; grandchildren, Tyler Bowling, Caitlin Bowling, Gracie Stidman; sisters, Colvina Potter and Nora Ellis; sisters-in-law, Lorene Bowling, Catherine Bowling, Loretta Hamby, and Faye Phillips; special niece and nephew, Wade and Sue Norris and Kendra and Matt McCuiston; many other relatives and friends. Special thanks to special friends, Tammy Bowling and Janice Ingram.
Friends may visit with the Bowling family on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 6 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Daniel Woods and Bro. Andrew Shepard officiating. Music will be provided by Michelle Shepard and Larry, Sharon, and Dallen Neal.
Committal service will be on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 12 p.m. in the Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery in Robbins. Pallbearers will be: Dennis Chambers, Greg Chambers, Tyler Bowling, Rodney Foster, Wade Norris, and Matt McCuiston.
