Willard Maxey

Willard Maxey, age 72 of Winfield, TN, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, TN.  Born September 11, 1948 in Winfield, TN, he was the son of the late Charley and Nora Bell Stephens Maxey.  Willard was a member of the Hayes Creek Church of God, and loved fishing, hunting and gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife:  Shirley Jo Maxey; granddaughter:  Stephanie Moriah Anderson; siblings:  Hoyle, Hoyt, Edna, Edgar, Opal, Odell, Cleade, Tony, Zona, Imagene, Shirley, Kenny, Helen, Luster, John, Flonnie, Hazel, and one infant brother Hurstle.

Willard is survived by sons:  Timothy Maxey and wife Kimberly, and Tony Maxey; daughters:  Tina Strunk and husband Mike, and Tonya Maxey; grandkids:  Raven (Robby), Nick, Gabriel, McKenzie, Brice (Megan), Destiny, Cassidy, and Jordan; and great grandson:  Brantlee; sisters:  Frona Sue Bryant and Addelene Gregory; as well as a host of family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Maxey family on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Harvey Logan and Bro. Harry Watters officiating.  Music will be provided by:  the Maxey Family and Jennifer Wilson.

Committal service will follow in the Ryan Cemetery in Winfield, TN.  Pallbearers will be:  Robbie, Jordan, Brice, Nick, Gabriel and Brian.  Honorary Pallbearer will be:  Robby.

With the Health Guidelines in place at this time, we ask that you be mindful of the social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control.  Masks are required.
