William Arthur Phillips, Sr. Obituary

William Arthur Phillips, Sr., age 91 of Conyers, GA, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021. Born December 10, 1929, in Scott County, TN, he was the son of the late General and Flora Phillips. Mr. Phillips was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Griffith Laboratories.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Phillips; son, William A. Phillips, Jr.; sisters: Gertie Stephens, and Lenora Foster; and brother: Palm T. Phillips.

He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Robert C. Phillips, Michael J. and Florene Phillips, David C. and Shelia Phillips; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 1 sister: Edith Stephens; several nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Pastor Billy Moss officiating; interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens.
