Woody McCoy Washam

Woody McCoy Washam, age 74 of Huntsville, Tennessee departed this life on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Tennova North in Knoxville, Tennessee. Born on May 29, 1946, he was the son of the late Earl and Flossie Wright Washam.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Addie McCoy Washam and B and Jane Byrd Wright; infant daughter, Sabrina Nartella Washam; brothers, PFC Denny Lee Washam and Bobby Washam; sisters, Helen McGee, Earldean Phillips, Wanda Williams, Lois Bullock, Virginia Ann Day; father and mother-in-law, Ira and Gladys Simpson Jeffers; brother-in-law, Scott Jeffers; and nephew Cpl. Rusty Washam.

Woody is survived by his wife, Deborah Jeffers Washam; children, Darian Washam, Erian Washam and wife Sabrina, and Kayla Washam and friend Anthony King, all of the Fairview Community; grandsons, Taylor Washam and fiancé Daysha, Isaiah, Landon, Jaxon and Knox Washam; granddaughter, Brailey Goodman; brothers, Sonny Washam and wife Beverly of the Fairview Community and Teddy Washam of Norma; several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 12 p.m. at the Mill Branch Cemetery in the Mill Branch Community with Bro. Jeff Watson and Bro. Tommy Burress officiating. Music will be provided by Denise Watson and Cheryl Hutchinson.
